About this deal

Slight niggle is that it will let some uncooked rice through, if you are washing it in there (combination of our tap pressure and the uncooked rice just about being able to fit through the holes if in the right position). The bowls, which have non-slip bottoms and no handles, can of course be used for other purposes too.

In other words, a colander is an essential everyday piece of kit and when you’re dealing with boiling water. TWO RIVETED HANDLES 】Two handles for good grip, preventing heating your hands when draining hot food, bring you safe cooking. It’s deep – coping effortlessly with roasties for four with plenty of room to spare – and the large footed-base makes it feel very steady. Yes, you can use a sieve but it won’t offer the same drainage, be able to drain large quantities or tackle the weight of your spuds.

Straight-sided pans have a large pouring lip and a lid with a built-in strainer so you don't need a separate colander. Precision-cut drainage ports are added to the base to prevent backflow, now water will not get trapped in the base. Some of the smallest colanders are effectively ladles with holes, allowing you to easily scoop out a small portion of peas or pasta straight from the pan.

It comes with 4 corner hanger hooks to dry any shirts or longer garments on coat hangars and 2 removable sock dryer clips attached for drying socks and small items. An ideal utensil for all kitchens, the vibrant colander is perfect for washing and draining your vegetables, pasta and potatoes.

The colanders, which are very light, have a base so they can sit in the sink, and small easy-grip handles on either side. We measure them as accurately as we can, but they are an approximation, and are there only to act as a guide. The colander comes in two other, smaller sizes and will be a talking point in your kitchen because of its unusual good looks.

There’s a more traditional square handle on the other side to grip for extra stability as you drain.

Deciding on the best material for your kitchen sink is hard, so this guide has been created to help take some pressure off. We are able to arrange for a collection if that is easier for you, just get in touch and we can help with this. Rinse your salads, vegetables or fruits in this multi-purpose colander or drain water from hot pasta. We tested this out using rice - some grains escaped when rinsing before cooking, but it coped well once the rice had been boiled. A high quality, capacious white enamelled steel colander, 26cm in diameter and ideal for draining steamed or boiled vegetables, noodles, and pulses, as it rests on clever little dimpled feet.
