About this deal

Speaking of the weights, there are three of them, and they’re not quite as easy to remove as other tunable gaming mice. Where you’d usually be able to just pop out the weights on other mice, there are three large covers you have to unscrew and remove to access the weights. Just like its wired counterpart, the M65 Ultra Wireless comes with six removeable weights. They’re split into three sections, so you can choose to have the internal weight, the external weight, both, or neither. In addition to shifting the weight from 110 grams up to 128 grams, the weights are also distributed to adjust the center of gravity. We’re not leaders of industry however one of the ways factories keep costs low is by buying one particular brand of switches and circuits and use those units throughout the entire product. Corsair gaming products were known for using cherry switches in their mechanical keyboards. So why not remain consistent in quality for their mice? Why not keep it the same brand using five or even six switches making even the middle button amazing? The weight makes the M65 Ultra Wireless feel like a unit, too. If you’ve used any of the past M65 iterations, you already know what I’m talking about. This is a hefty mouse that feels like it can stand up to pressure, unlike a lot of ultralight esports mice that feel like they’ll fly away if you don’t grip them tightly enough.

Corsair M65 RGB Ultra Wireless Review: An Icon Goes Wireless Corsair M65 RGB Ultra Wireless Review: An Icon Goes Wireless

I am a jazz piano player that likes to play video games. Since I've played piano from a young age, I grew into abnormally large hands. Once we’re in and after we remove the cables and screws we now have some left-right mouse buttons that we can salvage! The company “ZIP” cannot be found but the switches at least feel good and we did plug this mouse in prior to make sure that there are no cold connections going on. One thing to note is if you are trying to repair your middle mouse button switch it might be harder to salvage. In the picture above the middle-button switch has the dimensions which are more appropriate to repair a Corsair Naga series mouse which needs a 6mm X 6mm X 7mm design.A: The mouse has no built-in acceleration enabled by default. You can use the Corsair software to turn the acceleration on if you need that for whatever reason. Final Verdict Shit, just go get a Microsoft Intellemouse 1.1 for around 20-30(USD) from NewEgg if all Corsair wants to do is sell a mediocre product! I can also comment on how it glides smoothly thanks to its extra-large glide pads. I didn’t discern any lags during my testing session with the report rate going as high as 1MS and I’m impressed. The Corsair ICUE software can be user-friendly but still goes with some flows. It will provide customization from lighting to programmable buttons that will surely satisfy your needs. M65 Elite vs M65 Pro vs DeathAdder Elite vs G502 FAQ However, if you want a mouse that’s light as a feather, getting these fussy weights out can bring the weight down to a measly 97g. Or, you can just remove a few of them to change the center of gravity. I noticed that the remaining two buttons are lighter. It’s indeed a treat to use a mouse with such fabulous side buttons.

Corsair M65 Pro RGB Review | Trusted Reviews

Without any lighting, Corsair claims up to 120 hours of battery life when using Bluetooth (90 hours when using Slipstream). The mouse automatically sleeps after 15 minutes, however, so you can reasonably use the M65 for weeks without a charge. Compared to my Razer Viper Ultimate, I didn’t feel the charging bug nearly as often. And when I did, the USB-C port for charging meant I was rarely without a spare cable. At this point you should be able to flip the cover of your Corsair M65 mouse about halfway off with only two cables still connecting it to the bottom. The USB interface cable and one of the RGB LED cables. Remove both of those and you can then clean/set your upper case aside. We were having a hard time finding the appropriate cherry for the middle mouse button which is 6mm X 6mm X 5mm in dimensions with only two connector pins no ground pin. If anyone knows the Cherry model number for that leave it in the comments below. Salvage mode.

Optimized sniper button positioning

Adjustable weight system to customise both the weight and centre of gravity to suit your play style Before I give my final words on this rodent, let us re-visit the mouse that inspired this new tech. Like the newest version of M65m it also has an aluminum frame that renders a lightweight body and outstanding sturdiness. No matter how pretty a gaming mouse might be, it doesn’t mean much if it can’t perform well. And, we’re happy to report that the Corsair M65 RGB Elite is an absolute beast of a gaming mouse. Having a DPI change buttons on the fly is very convenient and I’m sure you will all agree with that, however, my feeling was that DPI buttons are a little stiff. Also, the scroll wheel and the forward DPI button could use some space between them. DPI can also be changed up to 18,000! That is crazy number, though personally, I’m satisfied at 2,400 DPI. Sensor With its PixArt PMW3360 optical sensor, the Corsair M65 Pro has up to 12,000 DPI. This can be adjusted in steps of 1 DPI using Corsair’s comprehensive iCUE software, letting you fine tune the settings to your exact specification. With iCUE and the Corsair M65 Pro you have complete control in the palm of your hand. Smooth and Stylish

And, even after removing these screws, it might take a good shake for them to actually drop out – one came out really easily, but we actually had to get a pen to pry out the other two. However, this is likely just due to it being new, and they’ll loosen up over time.Flip over your mouse and with your Torx-7 bit remove the two screws. We should note that this is actually nice of Corsair. Most hide the screw holes underneath the PTFE pads. But we’re also unsure why corsair used T-7. Why not Phillips like everything else? Oh well. Adjustments to the M65’s performance can be made here, with the ability to create profiles that can be saved onto the mouse, or shared as digital files. Key adjustments include changing the DPI settings, button remapping, and calibrating against the mousemat surface. Should I buy the Corsair M65 Pro RGB? Using your plastic pry tool on the rear of the mouse you can separate the plastics on one side and move along to the other side to un-clip the latch. No not pry from the front of the mouse! that is now you break the plastics which your mouse buttons hinge upon! Once the latch is undone the mouse should begin to separate easily for you. Don’t use force to separate the mouse as you could rip the cables from the top of the mouse to the bottom. The Corsair Gaming M65 Pro Optical Mouse comes equipped with a myriad of gaming-focused features, perfect for FPS titles. The PMW3360 optical sensor has a maximum of 12,000 DPI which can be adjusted in a number of ways, including a sniper button for instantly reducing the DPI. Its lightweight yet durable, anodised aluminium frame is tuneable for adjusting the weight and centre of gravity of your mouse. Plus, you can take the customisation further as the Corsair M65 Pro is fully supported by iCUE software The Features of Corsair Gaming M65 Pro Optical Mouse at a Glance:

Danielle Abraham + 1 moreAs I wrote earlier, this is a right-handed only mouse, which is common in the gaming mouse world, but it's also what I'd call a palm grip only mouse due to its long and low design and the fact that you can't adjust the height of its palm rest. If you could adjust its height it would also make it suitable for so-called "claw grip" users, but out of the box they might have a tough time feeling comfortable with this mouse.

A Corsair M65 has now ended up on the repair bench. It is ours. Crap!

The M65 Elite did show improvement over the years. The build of this mouse feels solid to the hand and durable. I noted no squeaks or creaks or any misalignments. The M65 RGB Elite might be your best option for a gaming mouse out there. It’s a sturdy rodent that’s made to last, evident from its components. The shape might pose a problem for palm grippers with small hands such as myself. I had hard time reaching the buttons due to the mouse size. However, if you are really in need of a gaming gear upgrade, then I recommend the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum or the Razer Mamba Elite. Those might be e better fit for your hand. After all, the M65 Elite’s design simply favors claw-grippers. This can be remedied by a simple shift in the grip but it might still be uncomfortable for some. Put through its paces in gaming scenarios, the mouse proves it’s worth, with fast-paced games proving no threat to the M65 Pro. Play the third-person MOBA Paragon, and camera movement is smooth, with the Sniper button allowing for an unprecedented level of precision. The same can be said for Battlefield 1: running with the Assault class allows for an unexpected level of control, and those who prefer long-range combat will be able to line up headshots with ease.
